Like Tummy Time, Baby will be sure to let you know when she is capable of rolling from her back to her side and then to her tummy. This is a major milestone, and one that should not be interrupted, but acknowledged with encouraging love.
There is no need to assist Baby in her movement, as this impedes her own considerable efforts and ultimate achievement. If you are tempted to assist, remind yourself that her self-esteem forms at this early stage, and you will be an impediment to her sense of self accomplishment. This is not your gift to take.
