As we have discovered in the articles, refraining from “helping” our babies is the key to their blossoming self-esteem. This could not be more true than with “walking” with Baby.
When she is ready she will utilize the wall, the crib, your legs to chart her own trail. Babies are extremely inventive. To find her own sense of balance, does not require your help. To do so would be detrimental.
Those first few steps, do not need intrusion, holding their hands and making them put one foot in front of the other! Baby’s first, independent steps are as momentous as man’s first steps on the moon. Allow her to master her own jubilance, plant her own flag.
